مُرَكَّبٌ نَاصِبِيٌّ

A مُرَكَّبٌ نَاصِبِيٌّ is a phrase in which a حَرْفُ causes an اِسْمٌ to enter the state of نَصْبٌ.

The حَرْفُ that causes an اِسْمٌ to change state to نَصْبٌ is called a حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ.

Lets walk through an example:

إِنَّ + الله = إِنَّ اللهَ

Out of reverence and respect, whenever the word الله appears in grammatical analysis, it will be referred to as لَفْظُ الْجَلَالَةِ (The Majestic Name). This convention will be maintained consistently throughout the course.

In this phrase when the إِنَّ (the حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ ) precedes لَفْظُ الْجَلَالَةِ (the إِسْمٌ) it gives it a فَتْحَةٌ (ـَ) sign إِنَّ اللهَ, indicating the نَصْبٌ state. The إِسْمٌ is now known as the إِسْمٌ مَنْصُوبٌ.

Therefore for إِنَّ اللهَ:

  • إِنَّ is حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ
  • لَفْظُ الْجَلَالَةِ is إِسْمٌ مَنْصُوبٌ

Rule: Can tolerate a long distance relationship, so words may come between the حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ and the إِسْمٌ.

Example :

أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا

That they will have a reward

Therefore for أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا:

  • أَنَّ is حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ
  • أَجْرًا is إِسْمٌ مَنْصُوبٌ

The حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ are all عَامِلٌ (i.e. governing words) because they governs/cause إِعْرَابٌ change in a word. There are 7 حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ :

The نَصْبٌ version of the pronoun أَنَا is نِي and the نَصْبٌ for نَحْنُ is نا. When attached to a حَرْفٌ نَصْبٍ ending in نَّ , these pronouns can be written fully or ن can be dropped as in إِنَّنِي or إِنّي and لٰكِنَّنا or لٰكِنَّا.

Examples:

إِنِّي أَنَا رَبُّكَ

indeed, i am your Lord [20:12]

إِنّنِي أَنَا اللهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا

Indeed, i am Allah. There is no deity except me [20:14]
