Examples of جُمْلَةِ فِعْلِيَّةِ

In this lesson we will take examples from سُورَةُ الْمُلْكِ

Example 1:

خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ

He created death and life [67:1]

Grammatical Analysis	Meaning
فِعْلٌ with an inside فَاعِلٌ	He created	خَلَقَ
مَفْعُوْلٌ	death and life	الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ

Example 2:

سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا

Its keepers asked them [67:8]

Grammatical Analysis	Meaning
فِعْلٌ	asked	سَأَلَ
مَفْعُوْلٌ	them	هُمْ
outside فَاعِلٌ	its keepers	خَزَنَتُهَا

Notice that in this example the outside doer is not directly after the فِعْلٌ. The مَفْعُوْلٌ ( i.e. the هُمْ) came first.

Example 3:

فَكَذَّبْنَا

But we denied [67:9]

ignore فَ in the beginning of this word	But	فَ
فِعْلٌ with an inside فَاعِلٌ	we denied	كَذَّبْنَا

Example 4:

أَصْبَحَ مَا ؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا

Your water became absorbed [67:30]
