Forms of اَلْفِعْلُ الْمُضَارِعُ
Unlike the past-tense (اَلْفِعْلُ الْمَاضِيُّ) which only has one normal form (), the present-tense (اَلْفِعْلُ الْمُضَارِعُ) has three forms:
- مَرفُوعٌ (normal)
- مَنْصُوْبٌ (light)
- مَجْزُوْمٌ (lightest)
Everything we have learned so far is the مَرفُوعٌ (normal) form of the present-tense (اَلْفِعْلُ الْمُضَارِعُ). We will now continue with a study of the مَنْصُوْبٌ (light) and مَجْزُوْمٌ (lightest) forms.
